CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2006 PANGAEA PLAGE CLUB

We were approached to design a temporary venue on the beach of Cannes to house events and celebrations during the Film festival in 2006.

The temporary structure is attached to an existing beach club providing a variety of seating arrangements. The requirements were the  use for business meetings and presentations in addition to the restaurant, serving beach visitors during the day and the use of restaurant/club venue in the evening and night time. The wavy layout is stepping up towards one side allowing an interesting open plan division of the restaurant resembling the waves hitting the beach right next to it.

All furniture steel structures and decoration were commissioned locally and purpose built for the duration of the festival.
